Mrs. Puetz’s Third Grade Student-Created Class Rules

As a class we come up with class rules and discuss what each rule means.  

1. Be Safe and Responsible
2. Be Respectful
3. Be Nice
4. Listen

When students do not follow class rules, we use logical consequences to address behavior, actions and words, keep students safe, and maintain respect.

1. Take a Break

Take time to think about actions or attitude and regain self-control.

Return to class when prepared to focus and learn.

2. Lose the Privilege

Fix problems caused by mistakes.

If feelings are hurt, an honest verbal or written apology is expected.

As a Dover-Eyota Elementary student, I promise to respect all people and all property. I will recognize the rights of others and know the difference between right and wrong. When I do this, I will be a good citizen of my school, my community and my country.
