American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge: TBD (Fundraiser participation is optional)
Students will learn about how to keep their hearts healthy and happy while raising lifesaving donations to help those with "special" hearts. All students will learn about and participate in jumping and/or hoops events during phy. ed.

Activities Day: Friday, May 19th, 2023 for grades K-2. Kindergarten from 10:30-12:00, 1st & 2nd from 1:00-2:30. Soccer, kickball, free choice, and relays. Location: Elementary playground area.

Track & Field Day: Friday, May 26th, 2023 for grades 3rd-5th. Location: D-E HS track & field area.

Skating Days: Skating days in phy. ed. this year will begin in October for 1st-5th grades. Kindergartners will start in January. Skating will take place on phy. ed. days for 3rd-5th grade students and parents are not needed (but feel free to come skate with your kiddo if you desire!). K-2 students will skate according to the schedule below and we DO ENCOURAGE parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles to come help students get their gear strapped, buckled, Velcro'd so that students get more skating time. Students will follow their regular phy. ed. schedule on the following dates.

4th Grade Bike Trip: October 6th & 7th
At the beginning of October, 4th grade students will finish their bike unit with a bike trip to Lanesboro/Whalen to ride the trails. Parents are welcome (may have to drive self due to bus space) to join us! More info to come from your child's classroom teacher.
